“MARCH FOR OUR LIVES”

The thought process behind our project is to convey how youth activists are capable of making an impact, as well as adults. We created an Instagram post to express to the public that the overall consensus of people banning together and working together despite their age will create a large impact. The Parkland Shootings led to the uprising of advocates and activists wanting change and expressing how there is injustice. The protest was called March for Our Lives, which was a student-led demonstration in support of legislation to prevent gun violence in the United States.

This song brings meaning due to where it comes from, a person doing what he can with the influence and ability. This shows a form of resistance through art because they are acknowledging that there is a problem, and a proposal on how to stop it. It brings joy and optimism for the public, despite the difficulties that everyone is going through.
