Greetings, Academy of Engineering The PACE Team and your Engineering teachers have worked tirelessly to plan and coordinate this Month Without Walls experience for each and every one of you. Throughout the week of March 8th - 13th, you’ll be embarking on a week of work-based learning, network building, and career-readiness experiences. We’re so excited for you all to experience this unique-to-Burton opportunity.
To prepare you for this week, please take a moment to thoroughly read through student expectations and get familiar with your schedule for the week. If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to contact your Engineering teacher or Sarah, the Pathways and Partnerships Coordinator at skong@ymcasf.net.
Month Without Walls Participants will…
1. Attend all assigned sessions. Attendance is MANDATORY, and will be taken during the beginning and end of every workshop and work-based learning experience.
2. Complete all assigned surveys and daily reflections.
3. Arrive on-time and ready to learn!
4. Have fun!
5. Be an active participant during all workshops and work-based learning experiences by being an active listener, engaging in discussions, and contributing to projects.
During Advisory, you will complete all necessary steps to ensure that you are fully registered for PACE and good to go for Month Without Walls! By the end of advisory, you will have completed your Bayview YMCA/PACE Registration Form and your Career Readiness Workshops Registration. Please complete:

During your AoE class, your Engineering teacher will do a final walkthrough of what your Month Without Walls experience will look like. By the end of class, all students will know who their points of contact are, as well as familiarize themselves with where and how to access links, information, and daily assignments. Please complete:

In your respective AoE class, volunteers from our industry partner, Arup, will facilitate a workshop exploring topics such as architecture, security, programming, and sustainable energy.
